Common Checkout Errors
Use the index below to quickly find the error message you are receiving when trying to purchase or renew your The Real World subscription.
Note:
To avoid scams, make sure that you are on the official checkout page.
#1 Transaction Rejected
To solve the error message: “Transaction rejected. Try a different payment method. If this error persists, try another credit card or contact your bank and tell them to allow transactions from UNITRW.CO/UNIVERSITY.COM TRW”
Option 1:
Use a different debit/credit card. In case you don’t have a different debit or credit card, borrow one from a friend or family member, or open a free account with Revolut, Wise, Monzo, etc.
Option 2:
Switch your payment method to Apple Pay.
Option 3:
For guaranteed success, switch your payment method to crypto.
#2 Captcha Error
To solve a captcha error and any of its following variations:
“Captcha error, refresh and try again. Captcha expired or invalid”
“Captcha error, refresh and try again. h.sessionId.at is not a function”
In case neither of these options work, please contact the live chat in the bottom right corner.
Option 1:
Open the official checkout page in a different browser. Make sure not to use any “built-in browser” from Instagram, Telegram, YouTube, etc.
Option 2:
Open the checkout page on a different device (a different computer, phone, etc.) and finish the payment process there.
Option 3:
Switch your network, use cellular data, or turn off any VPNs or ad blockers, and then try again.
#3 Failed To Create Payment Address
Crypto payments are temporarily unavailable.
Please contact the live chat, and they will let you know once all crypto payments are working again. Alternatively, you can try again a little later.

#4 Network Error
To solve a network error during the checkout process, follow these steps:
If none of the following steps work, please reach out to the live chat support in the bottom right corner.
Step 1:
Open the checkout page in a different browser and/or on a different device (a different phone, tablet, or computer), and then complete the checkout process again. Also, make sure not to use any “built-in browser” from Instagram, Telegram, YouTube, etc.
Important:
Make sure that you are on the correct checkout page.
Step 2:
Switch to mobile data, use a different Wi-Fi network, or turn any VPNs on or off, and then go through Step 1 again.
Step 3:
In case Steps 1 & 2 didn’t solve the network error, try a different debit/credit card, contact your bank and tell them to allow transactions from “UNITRW.CO,” or consider paying with crypto.

#5 Internal Server Error
To resolve the error message “Internal Server Error,” follow these steps:
Step 1:
Open the checkout page on a different device (such as a different computer, phone, etc.), or switch your internet connection (use cellular data, turn on/off any VPNs, etc.), and then try again.
Step 2:
In case you still get the same error message after doing everything in step 1, try using a different debit/credit card, Apple Pay, wire transfer, or switch to cryptocurrency.
Note:
Bank/wire transfers are only available for the Champion Membership plan.
#6 Access Denied
Certain banks have blocked access to The Real World.
To fix the error message:
“Access denied, invalid endpoint acquirerBIN, acquirerMerchantID not recognized”

Other Error Messages

# Unprocessable Entity / Invalid Card Numbers
Our payment processor only accepts Credit/Debit Cards without any letters. Any cards that hold letters (such as 342E F234 9OUI 7872) are not accepted. Pre-Paid & Gift Cards are not accepted either.
Currently accepted payment methods for The Real World are:
– Debit and Credit cards from most countries
– Apple Pay
– Crypto (USDT ERC-20 and USDC ERC-20)
# Incorrect Billing Address
The error messages “Incorrect Billing Address,” “Invalid Zip Code,” or “Enter Your Zip Code” mean that your billing address was either misspelled or entered incorrectly.
To troubleshoot this error:
– Reload the checkout page
– Input the first few characters of your billing address
– Select the correct pop up from the recommendations
# Duplicate Transaction
Our system detected a payment already made from you (this is a fail-safe so that you are not charged twice.)
Please check your email address for a receipt.
